Jeff Lukens was born and raised in suburban Detroit. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, and from Boston University with a Master's Degree in Business Administration. He served as an officer in the U.S. Army in the 1980s.

He is married and has three children. He resides in Brandon, Florida, near Tampa -- and is active in community affairs.

Jeff Lukens writes engaging opinion columns from a fresh, conservative point of view. He likes to explore the enduring cultural aspects of life from a moral and historical perspective. He writes about the traditional and Christian values upon which America was founded, and how these values define us as individuals and as a nation. 

Jeff is a staff writer for the New Media Alliance, a conservative issue advocacy and information group established to promote and defend conservative social, political and economic principles nationally.
